FSA’s Environmental Management Committee (EMC) is hosting its first webinar of 2026 – Managing Water Flow and Drainage within Forestry Landholdings.

The 2 hour webinar will include an initial session with roads specialist Geoff Hurd. Followed by three drainage-related case studies, presented by:

  • MSc Student Philisiwe Sithole and Professor Bruce Talbot – A microcatchment approach to monitoring post-operation surface run off.
  • Dr Yoladi Ernst, Global Change Institute at the University of Pretoria.
  • Brent Corcoran and Sifiso Kunene – Mondi Case Studies

 There will be Q&A opportunities, as we see this webinar being highly beneficial for all those in planning, silviculture, harvesting, roads maintainence and certification.
